*yawn*

i'm in NJ...

my mom (and my sisters) just left to go to debbie's orthodontist appointment, and the house is very nicely quiet : )

i drove in last night, leaving much later then expected and arriving close to 1am. surprisingly, my mom waited up - she opened the door as i was sticking my key into the keyhole, which was very cute because the only other time that had happened i was 16 and was about to get grounded (for the first and only time in my life).
we ended up having tea together and chatting for another hour, too.

the drive here was made easier by conversations with kittypie, who stayed on the phone with me from the first quarter of connecticut until i was into NY, and feeling generally tired, which mellows me out some.
i was trying really hard to drive slow, as it was dark out, and raining for a good leg of the trip, which was lucky, as i got pulled over for doing 80 in a 55 and was just given a verbal warning - i'm sure he caught me going around 90, i would've ended up with a(nother) ticket (that i just can't afford).

abi seems to have grown again - both in height and how grown up she looks - and i still think she's adorable : )
i came into her room when she woke up this morning, and she was happy to see me, and has treated me like i hadn't left since. i'm really loving not having to re-earn her trust each time i visit : )
and she's now potty trained, and says really funny things.
