Nov. 25th, 2002 05:27 pmeveryone is writing about their thanksgiving plans, so my thoughts turn to them, too.
i'm really looking forward to spending time with kira, and really hope her mom isn't overstressed/overwhelmed by the company she'll have during the weekend.
i'm yearning to be in west coast air. to walk around san diego, laguna beach, and even mission viejo.
i'm nervously excited about stopping by our old house, hoping current residents aren't too flipped about me taking pictures and hoping i won't just burst into tears like the oversentimental sap that i am.
thing morning, i had the thought of "but what if the house is repainted"" and it shook me so much i chased it away. *giggle* the concept that the garage prolly won't be stocked with cases of hansen soda from trader joe's is weird enough.
talked to nic last night, and it looks like Sunday is the best day to see her. going up to westminster (i think) will be quite the haul, but that should be all good : )
i'll prolly see laura on my way back, as her BF leaves the state Monday morning, but i want to meet him...
i was hoping to visit with OC people more on Monday, once i can't see kira anyways (as she's leaving a day before me) so now i'm toying with the idea of getting reading-on-the-beach time or contacting some further removed OC peeps. i think debating emailing zak is quite pathetic on my part.
i was a bad kid at lunch.
instead of shopping for prezzies, i spent $40 on myself and still can't decide whether i should really keep the items.
one is a pair of black velvet pants. almost exactly like the ones i am wearing today, but sans stripes on the side, which prevent me from wearing these anywhere social.
the other is a red tanktop with a tribal design. i was almost surprised to find a tanktop with a design on it that i like, and this one has a very nice texture & is long, so i could wear it with hip-level pants & not look scandalous.
the problem is, i'd spend $10 on each without second thoughts. but i don't usually buy $20 stuff unless i really like it. and i don't really like these... they're just above "ok". hrmph.
and speaking of clothes, scarily enough, i am looking forward to packing for CA. the weather won't be as warm as i like, but even the thought of packing summer clothes makes me kinda giddy : )
yesterday was somewhat of a "stay at home and not get much done" day. the big accomplishment was cleaning up the kitchen, and that wasn't much at all. i feel kinda shitty for not getting at least the living room, too...
watched braveheart all the way through, though, and got a tiny bit of writing done.
