just saying hi from (not as) sunny (so far) california.
being here ... just feels all too natural.
spending time with kira and her mom just feels like the myriads of times i'd spent the night at her house back in the day.
west coast landscape, etc, resonates with something in me... kind of like seeing an old friend after a few years and feeling like no time has passed at all.
seeing my old house was sad.
there was an extra fence in the front yard, it was a different shade of peach, and it felt weird that i couldn't go in... couldn't be home... (and to some extent, can't be 16 again. life would be so infinitely different if we hadn't moved back to nj).
the drive to orange county this afternoon felt (and was) longer then i as expecting, so the drive to westminster tomorrow should be quite the trip.
it'll be all good though : )
and, hopefully, tomorrow evening will be warmer then this evening was. kira and i made it to laguna beach (after dark) only to walk up to the water, feel it, and run away to the warmth of a coffee shop.
unfortunately, i may also be catching a cold.
gotta go find cold meds before going out tonight (i'm really curious aboout what a san diego goth club can be like) and hopefully i'll feel better tomorrow morning.
