elvendoll: (sitting)
i totally overslept this morning. or, more accurately, i over-snoozed... it was really cold in my room, really warm under my blankets, and i was having some sort of half dreams about going back to reno for a a party. wishful thinking, huh?
i then opened my eyes enough to start thinking about what to wear, and made a mistake about which coast i'm on - i saw that it was sunny outside and assumed it'd be warm (polar opposite of the first rainy day i experienced in california - where i saw that it was raining, didn't know that meant the temperature dropped to low 60's and wore what i'd wear for an 80+ degree day. brrrr.)

last night was interesting.
[livejournal.com profile] davely let me escape the office a bit early so i can deal with stuff at school. i did manage to get my tuition cut down to $783 (from over $1800), but, their 'payment plan' consists of two payments, the second being due in the middle of October, and costs $30 to enroll into. f*** that. now, i need to charge that amount.
in the bookstore, i found out there's 9 books on our reading list (for a class that meets about 14 times), even used, they're about $10 each, and one of them happens to be a book that was stolen with my backpack when my car was broken into. today, i need to see if amazon can get them to me any cheaper.
the teacher is a total hardass - only two absences allowed before a failure, and with each absence, you need to submit a summary of the reading - i'm down one absence already and need to read 2 books this week.
luckily, the reading list looks decent and he's very good about giving out paper topics well in advance (unlike my summer prof, who insisted on giving us paper topics exactly one week before the paper is due - then again, that might've still been an improvement from my spring semester prof, who flat out refused to give us paper topics)

financially, i'm in a deep hole. bm ended up costing a lot more then i thought it would, and i wasn't in a happy place to begin with. for my sanity, i'm thinking of getting a personal loan from my bank, which'll put me on a sane schedule of monthly payments, rather then me worrying about how much to give to each cc when, and never having any cash to my name.

i'm still a little sore from yoga on Monday night, which may or may not be surprising.

i need to cut down on my sugar intake.
more specifically, i need to find snacky foods that i like that are not filled with sugar.
yesterday, i had a snickers bar for breakfast, pasta for lunch (ok), then a bag of chocolate chip cookies as a snack during school and a nutrigrain bar (also sweet) as an evening snack.
today, i had a donut for breakfast, an oversmall baked potato for lunch, and on realizing i'm still hungry, a package of peanut m&m's. ug!
