Oct. 28th, 2003 11:40 ami overslept this morning...
for some reason, when getting up to turn the light off in the room, i decided the alarm clock was set to 'off' and changed it.
this morning, i was having a dream that involved some sort of hassle in trying to catch a flight back here from san diego, and opened my eyes to see the alarmclock be at 9:10. my first impulse was to run up and email in late. i then remembered that tuesdays are my late days, and i don't need to be in till 9:30, and with the shorter hair, could prolly shower and leave in time (it was actually 8:40, as my alarmclock is set a half hour early). of course, i did forget that my car desperately needed gas, so i was still a few minutes late.
after writing last night's entry, i did manage to finish my paper, so i will get to turn it in today. now, i don't have any mission-critical work due until the 18th, and it feels great, and is helping me be excited about the weekend - which can't come soon enough.
i also read a bit more of their eyes were watching god before sleep last night, and i'm hoping to finish it between Thursday evening and weekend afternoons. then, i'll need to seriously think about the final paper prospectus.
with this paper done, its also easier to see a light at the end of the tunnel with this class. prospectus, oral presentation and then the final paper. and that's it. and December 12th, its all done with. yay
the next trick will be to remember to fill out/turn in my transfer credit approval form for the spring class before December and decide whether i'm taking one or two courses.
i slept with the purple xmas lights dimmed to just dots and the lava lamp on - having them makes the biggest difference in how i feel about the room for some reason. i won't be able to do this often, as i do sleep better in pitch black, but it was nice : )
