I've been neglecting to update - my weekend was so nice that I'm afraid of trying to use words to describe it. Wonderful occasions, inspiring ceremony, great people, new connections... the only things I'd change would be the coughing and the motel 6 rooms.

The coughing is still here, though much better today - not sure if it's because I'm working from home and staying put, because I took mucinex last night or what. I still woke up a couple of times during the night to cough, but coughed less and got back to sleep sooner. Baby steps, right? My roommate thinks it's just my body taking it's time to bring up the stuff hanging out in my chest.

Working from home today because the car went in for it's first scheduled maintanence. It was entirely anti-climactic - dropped it off with p., [livejournal.com profile] sol3 drove with me to pick it up and no critical words exchanged at the dealership - which is to be expected for a new car, but still odd for me as this is my first new car. I was a little disappointed they didn't do any of the extra stuff like vacuuming inside or washing the outside.

I saw a place last night that has potential. Nice neighborhood, quiet enough to totally safe for the cat, comes with parking, close to muni/bart, vegetarian roommate... Theoretically, I'll know if I get it by the end of the weekend. I was totally surprised to not only run into [livejournal.com profile] starofpersia as I started making my way there, but then [livejournal.com profile] mzrowan and [livejournal.com profile] lightcastle on my way back.

I came home and punted on getting homework done - I was just a tad braindead, and t. came by with dessert - spending an hour shooting the shit with him and p. was really nice. If only this place was in the city and didn't have stinkykitten.

In another 'I love living in California' note, I ate lunch outside today, totally enjoying the sunshine, the flowers blooming in our yard and birds chirping nearbay. I'll make it two - I was a little chilly this morning, looked at the thermostat and saw that it was 67. The bad part of my brain thought about turning the heat on to add a couple of degrees to that, and then the inner lightbulb went off - I opened the back door and a window and within an hour the house was warmer.
