More on Sunday
Apr. 11th, 2006 06:03 pmAs I was packing my camera for the trip to Israel, I realized it had been a really long time since I used it. Noticing that, and a couple of other triggers later, I realized that while I've always liked playing with a camera and been meaning to take a photography course, I got totally intimidated when
sol3 picked up the Rebel and started making such wonderful progress with it, and scared that I'd be just copying him on top of that.
It took me a while to even be able to say something about it. While I was stewing, though, I realized that Pati would be a great person to learn from - I love what she does with her camera, and between her demeanor and how she thinks, the idea of learning from her was much less intimidating.
So, when
sol3 left for Boston, he left his D30 with me, and Pati helped me begin learning it on Sunday. We went to the conservatory of flowers, and I've posted a few of the pictures here.
Next challenge: taking pictures of things that are more then an armlength away.
