Jun. 18th, 2007 08:28 pmMay totally bowled me over.
I got to host
spike,
daisy,
contessagrrl,
y1kes,
goat,
tcb and
aroraborealis over the course of the month - and complete a group project, two written finals and one oral one. And then visited, though briefly, with
kittypie and her family and
rednikki. Yeah.
Next up is forcing myself to get my butt over to Laney to get them to send my transcript to UMass, so I can actually get that piece of paper I bought/earned. I got the most solid A ever in my Psych class - 98 on the group project/paper and 99 on the final exam, and a (^%$#) B in Spanish. I have a feeling that grade is why I'm sort of procrastinating visiting the registrar.
June has been a bit saner.
It's still busy, which is mostly good, only I've been craving downtime for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully the craving will pass soon in one way or another, because it's summertime, and summer isn't about downtime.
I started getting acupuncture, which I've been meaning to try for a long time.
The first session had a very interesting effect - it improved my posture! All of a sudden, standing up straight didn't make me feel all exposed, vulnerable and uncomfortable.
Unfortunately a couple of days of standing/sitting up straight has left my back in various degrees of soreness/pain ever since, as I'm coaxing some new muscles into waking up.
I got a massage to help with the backache, and learned from that that I'm a shallow breather - so my next two goals are to learn how to breathe and how to sit. Decisions about big life stuff can come after that, right?
The not-quite-new job is going pretty well. I hit good strides and bad days, but it all seems part of the flow - and more of the bad days then not are caused by sleep-dep/tiredness on my part rather then any badness about the job.
And this past weekend, I got to witness a beautiful wedding, have my whole weekend overrun by it, and get some quality time with a most adorable baby to boot.
I got to host
