this morning, i made it halfway to my car before realizing i was, once again, forgetting the rent check.
so, i go back upstairs, unlocking the front door with my key, write the check, stick it in envelope and am almost entirely out the door before realizing i should prolly check to make sure i have my keys.
i check my jacket pockets and no keys.
i look on the kitchen table... still no keys. or next to the envelopes or in my room... i was starting to pace between every corner of the house i'd been in since getting back, feeling like a dolt for not being able to find them and flipping out because i couldn't work from home today no matter what because i don't have office installed yet.
so, after approximately 10 minutes of running from room to room, looking everywhere including the inside pocket of the jacket, i realize i'm wearing pants with pockets. and in my front right pocket are my keys.
yeah, i know.
up there with having forgotten my makeup bag at my parents' house.
in theory, i could go without it for a month+, but my mom is insisting on mailing it back to me, which is prolly a good thing.
last night was a decent evening.
had its low points, but i'm okay because i pulled out of them. and i did enough homework - just need to finish that up tonight. and clean my room. and maybe even do laundry. yeah.
and considering i was up way past my bedtime, i should prolly get to bed at a decent hour, too...
yeah.
