elvendoll: (sitting)

goddamn, am i having issues degrogging this morning. i'm on my fourth cup of tea and am still putting active energy into keeping my eyes open.

yesterday was a mostly good day.
Saturday night, i ended up tagging along with [livejournal.com profile] gaelen to a party, but not staying long, as i didn't know too many people there and the house seemed cramped, which made it hard to move from room to room and join existing conversations. instead, i went over to [livejournal.com profile] sol3's for a bit of chilling before turning into pumpkins.
i woke up a bit earlier then i like for a weekend, made my way back home and got ready for brunch - which involved more sitting on my ass and checking email then anything else.
brunch, imho, was great. [livejournal.com profile] gaelen invited cool new people, there was a good number of people overall, yummy food and good conversation. and, between [livejournal.com profile] gaelen, [livejournal.com profile] mortis and myself, the house was tidied so that no remnants of brunch will be haunting us for the next week.
brunch lasted until my dinnertime, when a bunch of people went off to see a movie, [livejournal.com profile] goat gave me a little help in finishing off the rice i cooked last Monday, and then off to her house to pick up [livejournal.com profile] sol3 for our movie adventure.
swapping movie and dinner to dinner and a movie, we went to longhorn, where he ate dinner and i had a yummy drink of hot chocolate, with a shot of kahlua and a shot of buttershots, and stole bits of his bread. in the time we had between dinner and the movie, we played pinball in the theater arcade and i managed to get one high score.... and then we saw underworld, which i liked, and after that was the latest episode of carnivale

some time last week, i randomly found that someone i was friends with from junior high to the end of high school is on friendster. i tried to add her, and still have no response. not being able to see her profile is driving me batty - partially from wanting to know if she's logged in and seen my request and partially from being curious about where she is in life.

tonight, the plan is to eat food and read homework. again, i'm hoping to spend no more then an hour at the tube, but that gets difficult if i don't get home until about half past an hour.
Thursday, i totally have to go to yoga... i'm feeling the inches i lost at BM creeping back on, and i've had a monster appetite for the past couple of days, which i'm sure doesn't help a thing.

i'm having second thoughts about cutting my hair in the near future.
i do still want to cut my hair, but the prospect of removing one layer of warmth, that i've come to depend on over the years, just as the weather dips below my tolerance level, sounds like a less then stellar idea.
we'll see...

Take it from someone who once had very long hair and now has short.... Cut it in the SUMMER! In the winter, you'll just miss the warmth. In the summer, you're happy to rid yourself of that extra layer. I would also suggest doing it in phases. Going from very long to very short all at once can be very disconcerting. And if you do it gradually, you can start pre-summer and then go crazy in the summer if you're still convinced you want it shorter. Also, short hair can be more work than long...with long hair, if you're in a hurry, lazy, etc, you can just pull it back in a ponytail or something like that...Not so with short hair. You gotta either DO it or put on a hat or something like that.

As for yoga...I'm just overwhelmed with house stuff right now and really can't commit to any extra-curricular activities at the moment. :( If I'm feeling up to it and am available, I'll let you know though.
