well, its definitely been a weekend : )

Friday night was good.
after work, i hit the maul for the last bit of shopping, came home and wrapped presents until [livejournal.com profile] maighread came over, we ate dinner and set off for the club - and i had a really good night!

i came home drunk, spent some time trying to tempt [livejournal.com profile] sol3 into coming over, and then went to sleep in [livejournal.com profile] gaelen's warm and comfy bed - it was absolutely great to wake up in the middle of the night and know that sticking my arm out from under the blankets wouldn't leave me shivering.

i started waking up fairly early in the morning, at least for me, but didn't actually get up until 11:30. i then got a hold of r. and r., and eventually, they picked me up & we went to brunch. brunch itself was dissapointing, as my omelet wasn't cheesy enough, and i don't like eggs without cheese, but the company was good - i don't see them nearly often enough.

i got home a bit after 2:30, and dug into more wrapping - which took much more time then i was expecting it to. combined with an errand or two, [livejournal.com profile] autumnsshadow's arrival, dinner and making a pot luck pie, i was running behind schedule with no cleaning accomplished.
the new kitty arrived with [livejournal.com profile] autumnsshadow, and ended up hiding for his first day at the apartment.

the party was great. i didn't get nearly as drunk or naughty as i was hoping, but other people definately succeeded, which made for a damn good party. and i got to give most of my gifts *beam* i <3 giving presents, and i love it when they're liked : )
and, i recieved a couple of presents, which also adds to an evening ; P

[livejournal.com profile] sol3 and i ended up leaving at the 'reasonable hour' of 3am, as he needed to be up early the next morning... and really did leave before i was fully awake.
i slept in till a bit after noon, and then headed back to [livejournal.com profile] tobi's for brunch, cleanup and conversation.
when i was doing the waking up/falling back asleep thing, i somehow assumed the kitty was somewhere outside, as she wasn't making attempts to hog the middle of the bed or curl up next to my side. when i became more coherent, i realized she was laying down at the far foot of the bed, keeping an eye on the door in a somewhat protective stance. and it wasn't long after that that miko, the new feline addition to the household, wandered in to explore.
little girl isn't really happy with the change. she keeps hissing at him, but, afaik, hasn't struck out (yet?). i'm really hoping this passes quickly, despite the fact that miko makes the most adorable noises when she hisses at him.
and i definitely think she's mad at me for this one - she kept looking at me with accusing eyes.

unfortunately, my anxiety was flying a bit high yesterday, and i ditched the plan of doing laundry and cleaning for a bunch of chilling at randomhouse. i dropped by the house to grab some stuff, spent a little time attempting to mediate between the felines, and then had little girl follow me outside, not feeling comfortable enough to leave the two cats alone unsupervised.

chilling at randomhouse was good - i caught up on email/lj, cleaned out the velvet account, talked with [livejournal.com profile] zerokey, played a game of scrabble, chatted with a cute boy (who is threatening to visit!), and got to page 8 of my first reading-for-pleasure book of the month - do androids dream of electric sheep, which i've been meaning to read for years now.
now, my week's schedule just got a bit tighter, as i reallyreally need to clean my room before leaving for PA on Wednesday, and i'm not quite sure when that is going to happen.
but, i'm getting sushi lunch, a prezzie, a beer after work and time with [livejournal.com profile] kaligrrrl tonight, so the world can't be that bad : )
