elvendollit's been a long time since i've written. i go through phases of not feeling like sharing, and then there's phases of not feeling like anything interesting is happening, and then there are days when i don't have the focus to get the stuff down. and sometimes, i loop between those.
so far, it's been a pretty good year. i think it was welcomed in in style, and really enjoyed both the party and the brunch afterwards. somewhere between my stupidity and stubbornness, there were two restaurant outings thwarted by closed doors, but we still managed to have yummy food each time, so it wasn't all bad.

adania here has been really nice, though i feel totally guilty for how little of the city she has seen on this visit. there was, however, clubbing and watching some movies and lots of couchtime.
i checked my grades yesterday, and it looks like taking that final did pay off - i got a solid A in the sociology class. now, to do the work for the psych class. i'm also signing up for a no-credit, work-related class. the fact that it's no-credit is very annoying, but i think i could really use the class, as i'm feeling very groundless at work at the moment. if i was nuts enough to follow my whacked out ideas, i'd sign up for a bunker hill online class, but luckily i am realizing that i can't even begin to think of that seriously until i make serious headway in the psych stuff.
i'm really missing pleasure reading, and am hoping to put myself on a stricter schedule next week. hopefully that will actually happen.
