Jan. 10th, 2005 12:14 pmthe past couple of weekends have been just like weekends should be - filled with relaxation, people time, snuggle time and feeling like a got a break at the end of it.
on Saturday night of NYE weekend, i actually felt like i should be going into work the next day, feeling the extension of a long weekend for the first time in years.
this weekend, i felt like there was the right balance of doing stuff and not doing stuff, and i think i might've gotten enough sleep, too.
on Friday,
sol3 and i went to see the last little porn shop in manhattan, which was great. we'd had ethiopian beforehand (spotting
veek and
mindlace), but had to rush the meal because i had misjudged how much time we'd need at the restaurant.
somehow, we were both surprised by how early it was when the play ended, and decided to watch the dreamers.
on Saturday, i was a good kid and went to yoga - and it totally kicked my butt. i think what they say about morning/evening is true - i had more balance then usual (but only for a little) but couldn't stretch for shit. i think it took me till the end of class to be able to stretch to the level that i start out at during evening classes. the class was also totally over-filled. i love the studio and the teacher, but i really don't like the crowding, and may check out another studio if classes keep being this packed.
after that, i got a couple of hours at home, and then headed out to see closer with
pir. unfortunately, i really didn't like the movie.
on Sunday, i didn't get going until the afternoon, but that's what sundays are for, right? and then
maighread came over and i made dinner & we ate and caught up, which was really good. and after that, i headed over to
sol3's to cap off the weekend.
this week is busy with plans already, which is good, and thinking about the weekend makes me giddy.
