(no subject)

last night was a partial success.
i tidied up my room a little bit, decluttered the kitchen a tiny bit and cooked the root veggies. this meant i didn't eat dinner till 10pm, but better late then never, right?
i also got to talk to kittypie for a nice length of time, and got some phone time with the tall boy before going to bed. i think i spent more time on the phone last night then the last month combined.

y'know, when goat said that we had a crappy potato peeler, i agreed - it was totally crappy. she then bought a new one, and i used it for the first time last night. my god - i guess i'd never seen a non-crappy peeler before! i'm not sure i would've pulled off what i cooked last night if peeling the veggies wasn't such a breeze.

today is a day i would've loved to sleep in during, have brunch and then go hiking somewhere in the woods - i absolutely love the look of snow-covered tree branches. sadly, i'm stuck in the office & torn by conflicting deadlines. good thing it's this close to being the weekend.

randomness:
there's something about my current necklace that is very me - which is probably why it's two of my (new) icons. i got this necklace after going through one or two that weren't quite right, and have been very happy with it. the creepy thing, though, is that before then, i had a necklace i absolutely loved, and had worn for 5+ years - and i have no recollection of what happened to it - not when or why i took it off, or where and how, and it is really bothersome. also bothersome is the fact that i'd totally not realized that it is missing until i saw it in a picture a couple of months ago.

is this proof that my hair is wavier then it used to be?
