You can't even begin to imagine my relief when I got your voicemail that you got the job. I was so pissed off when you told me your car had been towed. In mycity?!?! It was an outrage!
And I felt terrible... I felt that if I hadn't stalled you with lunch, you could have just popped back in the car and been on your way. It's just a good thing you dined with one of the few people in the city who could get you the tow lot number... most people have to wander around waiting for a random encounter with a cop... and there's never one around when you need them.
It was almost as if, once again, any attempt I make at social interaction ended in disaster. I'm just glad I was right about karma getting a big dose of bad luck out of the way before the interview to save up for getting you the job. :)
