take my stuff
Aug. 11th, 2005 12:49 pmBelow is a list of stuff I'm not taking with me. There's prices next to each item, but they're totally negotiable for you guys. And, pics on demand - I'm planning on taking them this weekend, but can try and do some before then.
Wooden desk - $20
A nice medium wood color, has a pullout tray for a keyboard.
Bed - $45
The bed is two sets of drawers that sit about a foot apart from each other. There's a board that can connect them once it's put into place but the weight of a boxspring and mattress do a good job of holding it in place. It's not a great bed - but it's got 4 good sized drawers. You're welcome to also take my boxspring and mattress, but I'd bet you wouldn't want to.
Dresser - $40
It's a 5 drawer dresser and a cabinet in one. It's black, and has the remnants of a couple of old bumper stickers on it - I might try to scrape them off. The bottom drawer doesn't slide well, and I'm missing the shelves for the cabinet - but home depot should be able to cut you new ones. I love this dresser for some reason, and think the dresser + cabinet in one is great.
Armoire - $75
5' high or so, 3' wide and 2' long, with two drawers. It's light wood, and the drawer handles are a bit weird.
TV - $50
Old console type TV - I'd say it is probably 6 or 7 years old, the screen is probably 25 or 27 inches (can measure at some point). Has two small problems - it wigs out when the screen goes bright-white and turns itself on and off, and emits a level of white noise when the volume is turned up high.
5,000 BTU AC - $50
Older AC, works : )
5,000 BTU AC with remote - $150
2 years old; and I might even have 2 remotes for it!
Metal frame futon - $25
It's black : )
Wooden frame futon - $35
It's a trifold in a light wood color
Metal shoe rack - $10
Black wooden bookcase - $20
Black wooden half-height bookcase - $10
It's about 3 feet tall and has 3 shelves. It's not the sturdiest thing ever but is pretty handy.
Three light lamp - $15
Black, each of the three lights can be twisted around to choose direction.

Date: 2005-08-11 05:07 pm (UTC)I could get rid of my dresser if I can find one that fits in there, giving hawver better access to the apt....mine won't fit in there. (there's a recessed space that I think might work....of course, I'd need to talk with him about the idea.)

Date: 2005-08-11 05:14 pm (UTC)had to reread this one a few times. ;)
more focussing on the positive?
Date: 2005-08-11 05:15 pm (UTC)the armoire might, but my guess is that it's not big enough to replace your dresser - it has two drawers on the bottom and two shelves inside.
is yours too high or too wide for it?
do you not like open shelving? i didn't use my dresser when i had that closet, and just used the shelves on the left (facing out of your room) side of it.

Date: 2005-08-11 05:17 pm (UTC)I just wanted to take a look at it. Though I probably do want it.
Of course, if you require getting rid of it pronto, I can just stop by Sat.

Re: more focussing on the positive?
Date: 2005-08-11 05:23 pm (UTC)Mine it too wide...and yeah, on second thought, the armoire wouldn't be big enough for me.
