its been a long day...

...and i think i am a little too tired for a full entry, but there's stuff i definately want to get in here tonight : )

and hrmph. damn. still too tired to write about the truck things.

today was a very busy yet unstressful day...
didn't sleep too well, but not horribly so, either...
woke up and spent a lot of time with abi & my mom - and took a whole bunch of pictures : )

then we were all off for a family friend's party at a russian restaurant.
the whole experience was a bit dissapointing. the people i wanted to spend time with i didn't get to in the small time we spent there, the food was mediocre and not very plentiful, and the entertainment was a deviation from the standard fair that didn't impress me much (it was something of a russian gipsy theme, with 1 woman mostly singing and MC'ing, and another dancing. they were slightly on the vulgar side at best, they focussed too much on the males despite the fact that they were there for a women's bday, i thought the birthday woman's husband getting what was almost a striptease was unnecesary, and the chick did not even dance well).
my parents were leaving early to get abi to bed on time, and though i had the option of staying later , i was quite happy to go with them.
something else i realized today is that i am no longer comfortable enough to drink at such functions. i used to drink congac, vodka, or a mixed drink in the past. hell, i usually drank more then one. this time i was cold, and my mom had a glass of vodka poured for me. i couldn't get myself to drink it. the comfort level just wasn't there. definately an observation that needs more thought.

i sent the pic to bill while my mom was watching me edit some other pictures, and my mom pointed out that he made comments about how i look (he said i look beautiful (*swoon*) - makes me think that i ought to get back soon to check his head - its far from one of my better pics, let alone days)
and i agreed. how could you not go gaga over a little being like


i think she's positively adorable! : )

but i better get to sleep soon.
tomorrow is yet another busy day, and this one features trying to get my grandpa a computer amid the last minute christmas shopping rush. *shudder*
