I almost felt like I was cheating on JetBlue when I booked a flight on Virgin America - even though that ticket is just over $100 cheaper then a flight on JetBlue.

And then I remembered the first time I bought plane tickets based on time vs. cost. Someone else was paying, and I chose a direct flight at reasonable hours even though it cost around $25 more then the cheapest one - and it felt so weird.
Now, it feels weird that I'd buy the cheapest tickets, no matter what painful hours or layovers they were, without even considering how much hassle another $20-30 would save me.

And then there's the far-back flashback, and the days before sites like Orbitz and Priceline and getting a plane ticket meant spending an hour+ on the phone, waiting on hold with each of the airlines to get their quote, and then all over again to book the flight with the cheapest one.
