Being a cool sister

elvendollIt occurred to me the other day that I'm not automatically the cool older sister anymore - I'm now old enough that I have to earn my cred, and I'm not sure where I am on that scale with Debbie.
With Abby, it's a whole different ballgame - being an absantee sister for the last two years means that she's probably got more fictions in her head about me than truths, and there's nothing I can do about that except for trying to roll with it.
So I'm hoping that this year's birthday presents to her hit the note in both categories. En route to her are a caterpillar to butterfly home, a jewelry making kit and a book I hope she'll read without being forced to.
