...i have just been proven that i did, in fact, lose weight while on an all-inclusive resort! my vinyl top usually comes undone from the bottom if/when i sit down in it - i am wearing it tonight, sat down to put my boots on, bent over to reach them, and realized the tummy area is still not stretched!

now, if i could only keep myself active enough to keep the extra inch or two off of my waist!

Although, I don't know if you'd get your money's worth.

I think that fight would last about 2 seconds.

i think the main point is sheerly scary - i walked on the beach some, swam some, and got back to what should be my porportions. the fact that i rarely do more then walk to and from my car during the cold months is frightening - or, the fact that i can't force myself to do more then walking to and from the car in the wintertime is frightening.

Winter is for hibernating anyway. See, you stepped into a non-winter climate and, bingo, you were active. And you regained your normal proportions.

I did the same thing last week in Florida, dropping pounds & inches, as my activity level leaped back into the high gear that is natural for me when the weather is lovely. If I'd had more time there, I'd have lost even more excess weight.

So, perhaps we should all schedule a winter vacation in tropical climates each year from now on, to check those inches & pounds. Select a place for our party, and let's all bask in the sunshine together next winter! Yes!

i think i was actually more active then i would be in the summertime at home, simply because i was not ties to a computer/desk for the majority of the day, and overall was motivated to be outside at all waking hours - which doesn't happen much normally...

*longing sigh* a more permanent state of vacation is such a blissful dream...

personally, i'd be quite content moving to a winter-less climate, and have been almost resenting family connections for keeping me in the area...

Sounds as if a job at a tropical resort might be the holiday you'd like, for a year or two maybe?

no....

those poor people bust their butts 6-7 days a week, for low pay & icky housing... and, i don't think i could cope well with a retail-ish job...

in theory, eventually, i will move back to cali, and be able to safely read kerouac whenever the mood strikes me : )

You're already thin. You don't need to lose any weight. Your body is, like half the size of mine. I really need to start doing yoga.

its not really about weight...

... and more about inches of flab that was surrounding my frame - it doesn't matter that i may still be "skinnier" then other people if i have a less-then-healthy muscle mass/fat ratio - its more about trying to keep my body at a more healthy level...
