i don't quite like this morning....
the purrbox decided to sleep in the smack middle of the bed all night. usually, she'll pick a spot on the bed to hang out until i fall asleep, and then move to the papasan chair. but, last night, she slept in the middle of the bed all night (even stayed there after i got up in the morning) which meant that i slept in a little yuliaball by the pillows out of fear of kicking the cat.
then, two crows decided to have a very loud conversation right in front of my window at like 5:30. in sleep-logic, i thought getting up and yelling back at them was a good idea.. luckily, that dissipated as i got to the window - i don't think i could have come close to their volume anyways... so i told the cat to go get them & curled back up.
yeah.

finished death of a salesman last night, but was too tired to write int he notebook about it... hopefully i'll have time to do that sometime tonight... pulling a quote out of it will be interesting, though - nothing really jumped out at me.
next i think i need to find wherever my copy of in our time is hiding. i know i have it because i know i've read (most of?) it before... i'd also be curious to see my notebook from the last time i read it, but i don't believe i ever got it back..

and is it bad that i'm looking forward to the class ending so i can read books for myself again?
especially as its denial, as chances are i'll be reading a psych book within a week of the class ending?

i'm also thinking of taking an online course over the fall semester. this was i don't have to go to class, but am still earning credits and not needing to deal with 'taking time off'/readmission paperwork again...

and that was written a while back...

I've taken a couple web "classes" through Bunkerhill. It's awfully nice not having to go to class. And yes, it was a problem motivating myself to do the work, but damn, it's nice having one (or two) less classes to show up for...

how did they grade?

& a class a bunkerhill would prolly be cheaper, too, but it wouldn't keep me as an active student at umass...

I got a B+ in intro to French II and an incomplete in my American Lit course. I'm still working on the American Lit course, and I expect to get a good grade, at least a B+, although she hasn't graded any of the papers I've passed in, just returned them with comments. The problem with Community College is that for the most part you can only take freshman courses. I'm pretty sure that they only offer intro to American Literature I and II and maybe intro to English Lit via the web or self study.

*nods*

UMass does similar things with the online courses - most of them aren't high level... but i have a year+ of elective credits to accumulate, and wouldn't mind taking a low level sociology or philosophy course...
