...as i have a fucking paper to write tomorrow, but... i haven't yet.

reread this and it took me back some. not somewhere i want to go right now, either, as i'm trying to get acclimated to the thought of moving my bed back to its most optimal place in the room in a month or two. hopefully, by then, i'll be ok enough financially to bribe someone into helping make my room look livable...

its been a busy-ish weekend so far, and i'm not really looking forward to tomorrow.
yesterday, i got home from work a little later then planned, and despte screams from my wallet, went out for indian with [livejournal.com profile] tobi and [livejournal.com profile] kronosoam. i haven't had indian in around a month, and my mouth and tummy definately applauded the decisions, and it was good to get to spend time with tobi & meet ron.
after dinner, i came back here for a quick change, and headed off to pick up [livejournal.com profile] sol3 and [livejournal.com profile] kajmal to go to nantasket. and for the record, they're wimps. they may say the water was "freezing", but thats all lies - the water was chillings refreshing and exhilrating (and damnit, splashing around in the ocean is less fun alone). so pbthhhhhh : )
but going to the beacj was definately good. running into the cold water felt great... the waves were the biggest i have seen on the east coast thus far, and it took a lot of effort not to run out to the bigger waves crashing further offshore (as doing so by myself, and at night, is just a tab less then safe).
he happened to challange the ocean to come to him, and it looked like the ocean listened - as the tide rose, we needed to pull our blanket in like 3 times before ending up over by the edge of the beach, and then needing to clear out.
but yeah, beautiful night, waves & ocean. i'm enjoying concentrating on that : )
today has been less productive, but good.
took a bit longer then i expected to get up & around & breakfast'd (with lunch food) and then ended up doing my looking for articles at his house (and a huge thank you & apology to you for the printouts), which turned out to be a much more frustrating prospect then i imagined.
the professor made it seem like finding articles online was a breeze. finding info about them was. but... most articles didn't have the full text online, and off the few that did, more then half required payment. i was teetering on giving up a few times. in the end, i came out with 7 mediocre artciles and tomorrow faces the task of weeding out 3, reading the remaining 4 and then writing the damn paper.
i'm also kinda hoping to score brownie points for handing it in early : )

tonight, i went to the club for her birthday, and though i was a little apprehensive due to my mood (which was caused by school-stress), i ended up cheering up while there & having a good time. i definately danced more then i have in a long time.
*giggle* spent time discussing with pope tom my dilemma as to what i lost that random guys don't buy me drinks anymore. even tried testing out a theory he gave me, and still no dice.

*yawn*
sleep sounds too good now.
i'll prolly be posting exasperated entries tomorrow.
with all luck, it'll be after a yummy brunch *hinthint*

For the record, the water wasn't freezing... just too cold for my taste. I wasn't dressed for it, and had no towel of my own. I was content looking at the stars, listening and watching the waves, and looking at the bats flying overhead.

I had a very good time.. thanks for invting me. :)

i did include 'frolicking in the ocean' as part of my description of the plans ; )

i'm glad : )
i'm hoping to plan more trips like that before the end of the summer - typically, i'm more likely to do something like that on a weeknight, but my weeknights have been sucky this month because of class - luckily, i've got a week and a day left...

I know, but the fact that I couldn't find my towels or my bathing suit among my boxes of stuff kinda killed any plans for swimming.
