still groggy...
Oct. 15th, 2000 02:05 pm...but i thought i'd write some before trying to force myself to start on homework ...
yesterday was an odd day....
after a whole bunch of grogginess and indecision that lasted all the way into the afternoon, bill, paco and i went to salem...
first it took us a while to get there, and after we did, bill was insisting that we go to drac's castle first, to see if we can spot ken and tessa - and finding the castle was a bit of an adventure in and of itself.
when we finally got there, ken & heather were easy to spot, as they were doing thier shtuff right at the exit to the maze, nut bill ended up actually going through the maze to see if he could spot tessa.
he ended up not seeing her, but she saw him, we found out later : )
after seeing them, and agreeing to drop by at the time their gig ends, we decided to call morph's house for the second time (as he wasn't there when we called from the road) and this time he was in, and within a half hour met up with us : )
wandering around salem was fun... by that time most of the stores were closed, but the few that were still open had plenty of neat cheesy stuff to entertain me : )
and i ended up getting a checkered body suit - i am hoping it will look nifty with my slitted dress, a pair of hose that have a dragon on them, and a cat-eyes mask (it looks nifty, and was only $5!)...
i also almost bought this nifty little bat thing that its a suctiont hingie with a bat on a coil, and the bat has LED lights for eyes... but i resisted... although it was hard... :)
after we hit all the open stores, we just wondered around for quite the while... we were psuedo-trying to find the wharf, but ended up in some park thing, through which morph gave me a galloping pigy-back ride (w00h00!), and then we snuck arund the perimeter of the carved parking display, as going through it was more $$ then we could spend on it, but thought they looked nifty anyways.
after morph decided it was bedtime for him and took off, it was almost time to keet up with ken at drac's, and we were pretty bored, so we just wondered over there and hung out for a while...
during that time, i was getting rather hungry, but ken said there would be food at the place they were going for drinks, so i decided to tolerate the hunger till then...
only when we got there, we found out their kitchen closed at 10... and that led to a fair amount of confusion/stress as to where to go fromt here, as for some reason ken & heather found it imperative to join us on the hunt for food, and ended up getting pissy and snappy rather then just deciding to part early, which kinda made me feel bad and annoyed all at the same time.... but it wasn't a big thing, really, just a bit of sress that i thought was unwarranted...
in the end all was okay and i got to snarf down a cheese sub in a white hen parking lot, as it was the only thing open at the hour.
and by the time we made it back to drac's castle, we caught tessa outside, and even got to see their rendition of rocky for free!
and i got to sit on tessa's lap for it (well, the half of it that you sit through, at least) : )
and yeah.. it was nifty... the way they did it is it was like a walking tour of rocky.... everything until the laboratory scenes was at the entrance to the 'castle' and its foyer, then everything until the finale was done on the stage, and the finale went beack out into the foyer, after running us all through the maze...
i thought i was just a really neat way of doing it : )
and after rocky we had a lot of fun, too... bill and i were trying to convince tessa to let us take her home with us.. *blush*
its odd... i'm usually not attracted to females, but there's just somehting about her that any time we run into her we end up nearly taking her home... *seriously blushing now* *well, with a big shiteating grin, too*
and everything just had me... all of us, really, in just such good moods it was amazing...
it really has been ages that i've been in that good a mood / that relaxed while sober...
which brings me to odd thoughts...
a lot of my problems with social situations comes from the fact that i am so often uncomfortable and stressy that i am tensed up... and even as i become more comfortbale, the tension doesn't usually go away 100% unless i've been drnking...
its like i so take that tension to be a part of life that i don't know how to take it down...
and yeah, drinking a bunch when i really want it to go away is not a solution...
but back to good things.. yeah, i had a great time yesterday : )
and... there's a good chace bill & i will see tessa next weekend.... : )
*sigh* i just wish the homework would go away...
and there'll probably be a more serious entry later, more influenced by tobi and scuba's recent entries..
