so another weekend has whished by...
friday night i ended up going to MR. very few people i knew there, but i was a two-drink lush and we all know alcohol makes a big difference in situations like that.
i had a really interesting time waking up saturday.
first i woke up at 8:20, scared of being late for work... slowly, the memory of it being saturday morning trickled in and i went back to sleep. woke up again a bit after 9, thinking that the alarm rang. and it may have rang. it will be one of those great mysteries. woke up again at 10 because the construction a couple of doors down was being loud, tossed and turned for an hour and got up. and let me tell you, i don't enjoy waking up and feeling alcohol in my system... but it happens any time i go to sleep before sobering up.
i sat in front of the tube for about an hour, drinking tea and eating a breakfast bar, and then finally got to cleaning.
only managed most of the kitchen, some of the living room and some of the bathroom. scrubbing the bathtub kills me every time - my hands were shaking from my muscles being over-exerted when i tried plucking my eyebrows.
it took way too long to get my head out of my ass and get ready for the day & evening activities, to the point that he and i didn't get to go to purgatory falls. wejust went to have a (rather mediocre) dinner and then prepared to head off to the party. we didn't end up staying too long, but i enjoyed seeing the people there that i knew.
sunday morning i had a couple of people over for brunch. i think brunch has got to be my favorite meal of the day - more days should have them : )
fromt here, the day got super-lazy - the time between 4 and 8 really slipped away from under me, and by the end of it, i was feeling a bit down about having had a weekend slip away. luckily, he agreed that sushi would be a good remedy for the problem, and by the time i got home my mood was back at normal levels and i had a very happy tummy.
i spent the rest of the evening reading and watching tv... i'm at an odd point in my book, almost tempted to put it down again. but, [livejournal.com profile] booktards have told me to stick with it, so i'm not going to.
today has been a mostly mellow day.
got home, vegged online, ate yummy spiced pumpkin ravioli in vodka sauce and am back online.
actually, i've been feeling pulled away from the keyboard lately, so i don't know how much longer i'll be here...

other random things:
today, the mailman brought me a new ezpass (finally!), my phone charger (finally!, again) and the secong out of the three books for my class. don't know if i'll get to it tonight - i'm thinking of making tuesdays homework days. well, homework, buffy and more homework. yeah.
my parents flew off this morning. i was a total shit. i told my mom i'd call her cell around noon to say goodbye, but they were still in line at that point - she said to call back an hour later. but by the time i remembered, it was too late. i really hope they're doing okay and their trip goes well and safely.
*yawn* i'm sleepy. which just means i gotta drink cold liquid.
