Oct. 22nd, 2002 04:13 pmcar adventures:
according to sullivan tire, my car needs around $2,500 worth of parts/work.
luckily, this is definitely a total ripoff, and they're getting just under $300 out of me. just in case, my family is going to check out my car when i go visit next, but there's something wrong about saying a car needs the transmission and radiator fluids flushed if the car had a tuneup not six months ago.
with all luck, they'll have the car ready when they said they would, which would be in time to have lunch with her *crosses fingers*
yesterday was an unproductive day.
i spent time reading and vegging.
and its going to be ok... because i'm feeling stressy about the room-move, and if i let myself get stressy over school, it'll only make everything worse. so, i'm trying to convince myself that it'll be ok if i do the writing project next week. we'll see what actually happens.
he gave me good news : ) my computer is a-okay *bounce* i'll need to reinstall all my programs when i get it back, but nothing vital was lost. i'm really looking forward to getting my computer back : )
i'm looking at an armoire someone listed on craigslist.
in theory, it seems great - but there might be one big problem with it. it may be only 1.5' deep, which may not be enough for me. i'm really hoping it is big enough, though, because its cheap enough and should fit all my stuff. i'm thinking i'll prolly just need to add an extra shelf or two.
so i'm back from lunch now, and have the car back.
they redid the alignment, and where it used to pull to the left it now pulls to the right. just means that i'm destined to have a car that can't go forward on instinct, and since i've usually had alignments that pull to the left, i'm sure this will turn itself back to "normal" in no time.
the odd thing is, even though i know the "problems" they found are most likely bullshit, its still making me wicked uncomfortable : /
