thinking positively?

elvendollmy mom made me snarf this morning.
she keeps thinking that unless i have the sheep (coat), i'll be freezing.
so, i tell her i have two (warm) coats and take a sip of tea. she comes back with "but you can't wear them at the same time!". that was so the last thing i expected.
her mom sent her a rather non-parental link
in the 'don't know whether to laugh or cry' bin: abi overfed debbie's pet goldfish. the goldfish nearly died, but my stepdad managed to resurrect it, saying "i don't know how much longer it will last". so now, they're got a barely alive, deformed goldfish that they keep point out to abi, telling her she hurt it. neither her or debbie seem to care very much. i think i find the concept of my stepdad resurrecting the goldfish, and then exclaiming that it doesn't have long to live rather funny, but the idea of them keeping the poor fish alive & suffering really disturbing.
i wonder if fish can tell the passage of time - i think this one is the last of the two goldfish i got debbie back in 97, so its had quite the long life for a goldfish.

my mom says its eyes are bulging really badly and the mouth is all crooked and mishaped.
