elvendolli just got happy news: the hostel i want to stay at just confirmed a reservation for all seven days *bounce*
when i finally settled on my pick and went to make reservations, they only had 3 of the days for online booking, and i decided to give them a call. because of time differences and the weekend and such, that took a couple of days. over the phone, i was told to just make a reservation online and then try to extend it. i went back to the site, and only 1 night was available, which had me really worried about either needing to move hostels after my first day, or having to be up around 7am each morning to get a bed for the next night. but, i just got a reply to my email and i'm there for all 7 nights. *bounce*
the sunlight is doing wonderful things - looking out my window makes me smile.
i'm still having off moments, but i feel like i'm in a better place then i was a week ago.
tonight, in a way, will be a big test - i need to do laundry, i should clean my room and homework reading would be good, too.
i really hate the way being in school interferes with my pleasure reading. i feel like i can't do any until i'm caught up on homework and that usually doesn't happen until the semester ends : (
speaking of semester ending, my syllabus has the last class at may 5th, and a paper due on may 19th. if that's really the case, i will have almost a whole month between the last class there and my first summer course, which sounds like a very good thing.
and yeah, i just want the class over with.
it looks like the idea of having a camping weekend for my birthday won't happen due to pre-scheduled events at the site. it may sound fucked up, but not having a camping weekend at the beginning of the summer is making me twitchy. i just don't know if i should try to organize something on top of all the other things i'm going to have going on around that time.
and i'm so ready for summer. i want it now. please?
re-evaluating my options, classes over the summer might not be as fun as i originally planned, but overall, its not a bad thing. it just makes a lot of sense to get required courses out of the way, even if there's only two of them left.
i'm kinda shocked that registration starts on April 7th. more so because its coming up quick and i need to clear off credit card balance to make room for the classes then anything else, but damnit...
i'm also very curious when the fall course catalog will be available. i'm thinking of taking two online courses - maybe one from umb and one from bunker hill...
and there was more... maybe later...
