i'm here...
May. 2nd, 2003 09:08 am...but it sucks right now.
not that i'm surprised - i knew working east coast time from the west coast would suck big noogies. k's bed isn't propped against any walls, either, so i can't be sitting up and enjoy the comforts of the big poofy blankets.
and i'm procrastinating making tea, which is leaving me nauseous, especially as i was already dehydrated when i went to sleep.
yesterday was a long (23 hour) but good day - got out of work early, had just enough time at home to stick a fair amount of food down my throat, ran a minor errand and grabbed
sol3 for the ride to the airport.
the flying experience was ok - we came a little close to missing our connection because my streak of never having left logan on time hasn't ended, i was giddy for takeoffs and landings, which was easier with company then alone, i didn't get any homework done (but finished post office), and distracted
sol3 a little too much.
we landed close to on time, his friend d. met us at the airport, and then we picked up kira, and started the evening of trying to find food, beverages and deserts - which were all accomplished in fairly decent ways.
we ended up getting back here around 4am, west coast time.
i managed to screw up the alarm clock, and woke up a few minutes before 7am, an hour later then i'd planned to, but a part of me is scared to think of what waking up at 6am would have been like : /
we flew in past nightfall, so although i've spent some time walking/tramming/bussing around the city already, i haven't seen it yet. i can easily feel that i'm on the west coast, which makes me giddy in and of itself, but i haven't seen just where on the west coast i am - and i'm looking forward to that.
after putting in my hours, the most likely plan will be to have a meal with kira's parents and grandparents, and go to the gallery early for last minute propping. *bounce* this'll be such an amazing first, i don't begin to have the words to describe it.

Date: 2003-05-02 10:34 am (UTC)i think there's a good chance i'll end up relocating here at some point - there's a good chance i would have done so already if it hadn't been for a little three year old, and there were two times in my life before then that i came really close to making such a decision.

Date: 2003-05-02 11:20 am (UTC)My brother is 5 years younger than I am. So unfortunately that meant that when he was in that cute stage, I was in the "I hate my brother" stage. By the time I was old enough to appriciate having a brother, he was in the "I hate my sister" stage. Finally after I got out of the house to go to college, we both realized it was good to have a sibling. =) He's a really good kid too.
