...but i did go home after work, eat leftovers, head over to a buffy-finale gathering, enjoy it, spend some time with
sol3 and spend a little time futzing online because i'm feeling tired.
i've found a couple of classes i'm feeling pulled to for the fall in the english department listings, as well as checking on psych minor requirements and finding a very exciting change - before, it was necessary to take research methods for the minor... now, there's a choice between that and stats, and
tobi might think i'm insane, but i'm totally into taking stats instead of research methods.
after that, i'll need at least 3 more psych classes to complete the minor, but it could be 4 because of the way the department handles prerequisites.
in some ways, its hard to be taking school so slowly - i tend to be goal-oriented when it comes to stuff like this (i managed to get to 70 credits and have all of my liberal arts and 5/6th of my major complete) and its hard not to jump head first into scheduling the classes i'll need to get that damn piece of paper.
tomorrow, i'm taking a personal day and spending all day on my paper. ideally, i'll have it done by 11pm - last time, i was up later then that and typed 'airport' instead of 'railroad', which would have been really bad if i didn't catch it.

Date: 2003-05-21 09:10 am (UTC)the professor doesn't give any topic suggestions, so after some milling about, i decided to do it on the accounts available on the web of alexander II's rule, assasination in 1881 and the start of alexander III's rule as those events relate to jews.
here's hoping i can get all the reasearch down and crank out 10 pages in the next 11 hours.

Date: 2003-05-21 08:59 am (UTC)can you see why i would choose stats over research methods, or do you think that is an insane choice for me?

Date: 2003-05-21 05:51 pm (UTC)Research methods teaches you how to design your research. Statistics merely confirms that your research did what you wanted it to. It some cases it is the chicken before the egg. I guess it depends on the teacher and exactly what you want to get out of taking the class.
