i think the better idea for this evening would have been to come home, take a hot shower, put on jammies and go directly to bed.

instead, i ate ramen, saw a tv show, chatted online, laid down on the couch, read a little, realized dream-logic was taking over and put the book down to take a nap.

napping, i had a very violent, though oddly calm dream - somehow, someone was a danger to me, so either i alone or me and another person was making this other person dead. using our boots. i have a distinct image of the person, and their severed head, from the last round.
oddly enough, the last time i was responsible for someone else dying in a dream, it wasn't nearly so violent and i woke up incredibly disturbed over it.
now, i'm insanely torn. i'm craving a cup of tea, i need to tidy up the kitchen, i want to be asleep, now, and i want to be able to read the book. and all of these require me to pull my ass off the couch, which sounds much harder then it should be.
have i mentioned recently that i don't nap well?

at least night like last night are few and far between - i have no clue what i'd do if i had to deal with this with any sort of regularity.

update: i remember more about the other dream - in it, someone was chasing me, for a long time. finally, i was running into the basement, and they were lying on a set of shelves. i saw their arm reach out to attempt to grab my leg and kicked them in the head. the person passed out, and it somehow came into being that the basement was on fire, and i ran away, leaving them to burn to death.
is that more or less violent then kicking someone's head off?
...if nothing else, the previous dream was less graphic...
and odd how even in my dreams, i have no illusions about being able to use my hands to hurt someone
