i'm home for the first time in four days, and it feels really good.
even better, is knowing that my street is finally all paved, so there will be no construction noises at 7am, and i finally clipped my finger nails (though i haven't managed to buy nail clippers yet) so i'm inbetween needing to adjust to typing with the cushions of my fingers and enjoying being able to type without pain.

i've had a wonderful weekend.
there were certainly parts i could have done without - teleportation is on my bday wishlist, damnit - it would solve the four hours there and back, the puertorican pride traffic and the guilt i felt over dragging people down and then back uptown in the city.
but, there were amazing parts to the weekend, like seeing >this at the guggenheim, varekai, time with [livejournal.com profile] sol3, time with the rest of the group, seeing [livejournal.com profile] deirdre tear up the dancefloor and leading her to coffee she couldn't drink, and not because it was bad (though not in that order).
oh, and there was mousse. pure mousse.

tonight, i spent time with post-comped [livejournal.com profile] tobi, indulged in ice cream (i've been having mad sugar cravings for over a week now - i don't really get it), and spent about an hour and a half at ceremony, which was good, because i saw people, i had a beer, i relaxed and socialized, and when i got thirsty again, not willing to spent more $$ on more beer, i drove home so i can catch up on online-time and still have the lights off by bedtime. (mmm... bedtime...)

tomorrow is a clean slate. if its nice out, i might see about organizing a beach run - is anyone with me on this?

one of the things this weekend did was stir up creative urges. unfortunately, i don't have the hands to do most of the things i want to do, but next week, i'm going to try something. something will involve lycra and feathers. i can only hope it comes out well.

i'm also really itching to redo my room. there's a bed a coworker promised me, that i need to figure out how to get, and then some rearranging of the furniture to be done. then, i think i figured out wallspace for a tapestry, and i want to frame and hang some posters, along with (hopefully) a little something from [livejournal.com profile] kittypie (me? brat? never!). by now, i'm really kicking myself for not getting the purple velvet quilt i saw in amsterdam. i don't usually buy things that i don't need, so i had no idea that $40 was an amazing price for a quilt, and its something that struck me enough that i can still see it. now, i'll have to talk about amsterdam enough to entice others to go and bring the quilt back for me.
