great birthday

elvendollaside from my costume being entirely different from what i envisioned and one over-reaction, i had a pretty damn good birthday.

sol3, and for once, he needed to get out of bed while i could stay sleeping - it was refreshing to reverse the roles of the weekday morning routine.
i wanted to have breakfast out, as i dislike eating alone and was hoping to avoid that on my bday, but noone seemed to be around.
after getting past the poutyness, i had a nurtigrain bar with a cup of tea and go to the cleaning part of the prepwork.
since the house was more messy then dirty, cleaning didn't take long, and thentobi, goat and i went to a crafts and grocery stores to stock up for the evening's event. we picked stuff out for decor and last costuming stuff, mixers + party food, and star market sushi.
while goat and i ate, tobi did most of the decorating (thank you!) and then we spent a bunch of time chilling. yay chilling : )
then, they left, and i went to finish up cleaning my room, shower and get ready.
sol3 came early, though later then planned, to set up the music (thank you!) and give bday prezzies - *swoon* i <3 what he got me (an mp3 player for my car!!!)
as usual, the first guests arrived before i was ready, and i was super-frazzled because on top of not being able to wear the costume i spent $40 on, the last bits that i could use disappeared into thin air.
it took almost an hour for me to calm down, and then a little longer to get into the swing of things, but i ended up having a great time! ...sadly, i don't think there are any pictures.
good conversations, good laughs, good flirting, tobi letting loose (no pun intended *smirk*), people really intermingling by the end of it, and the party lasting till dawn - nothing makes me happier about a good party then seeing the sun rise before the party has fizzled.
this morning, sol3 and i got some qt and a yummy brunch.
a big thank you to everyone who helped clean, and to people that brought the yummy beer we have left over : )
now, i'm going to spend a tiny bit more time vegging, get my butt off the couch and finish up cleaning, and hopefully stumble onto some fun evening plans (suggestions are welcome ; ) )
