elvendollwe learn something new every day, right? well, this morning i learned that if beer was the last thing you had to drink, even if it was 5 hours before you went to sleep, you'll still wake up feeling like you'd gone to sleep drunk.
last night, i also learned a little in the "if its not broken, don't fix it" vein - the a/c was not dripping all over the floor, but i decided to reangle it a little so it would blow air towards the center of the room. and then it started dripping. with some creative propping, i managed to minimize the dripping, and the possibility of flood only led to one anxious wake-up.
and, i'm so not used to the noise. its so incredibly grating.
but, sleeping in relative comfort was definitely nice : )
aside from learning about a bad situation of a close friend, yesterday was a very good day.

tobi and r. it took longer then i expected, so i had to race home, get directions and race out to the surprise party without eating first.
luckily, the surprise party included a meal, and the host remembered that i don't eat meat (i always melt from appreciation when people remember that and make sure there's something i can eat)
the surprise party was very small, only six of us there, but the birthday boy enjoyed it and was touched : )
after that, i spent time hanging out withtobi... she really liked what i got her, and we got some good talking done. i wish it had been tolerable enough for us to walk while talking, but the back porch was just a much better option last night.
then, i vegged some online, talked to the close friend, and went off to bed.
tonight, i have plans with my roommate, which is great, because i've seen him for all of 10 minutes this week.
tomorrow night, i have dinner plans and evening plans.
need to send out email about Saturday (ugh, i'm behind on my inbox, too!), and have Saturday evening plans.
and, i have Sunday plans.
normally, having this much plans would make me very very happy - i love having my time planned out ahead of time. but, this time, i'm anxious about things falling through and little shit getting in the way... and i can't figure out why. hopefully this will pass.
oh, and i did forget to call my stepdad.
and i just remembered that i'd told my salem relative i'd see about seeing her this weekend, as its my one "free" weekend between now and august. oops. maybe i'll see about dinner on Saturday or Sunday....
