four years ago today i was posting about having gone to MR, having sat on a cute boy's lap, getting lots of visits while working in the umb computer lab, having tea with scuba and hoping my yucky roommate at the time moves out (he didn't)

three years ago today i didn't write much, but it seems i had a slow weekend with some housecleaning getting done.

two years ago today was ljdramatime in my journal. it leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it happened, and within two days i regretted making the post, but aside from that, my opinions about the situations haven't changed. in so many ways, its hard to imagine that it has been just two years since that happened.

a year ago today i was having a decent day, trying to get in touch with friends from my california high school and worried about the amount of money life was costing. for the record, i didn't break out of the cycle. its refreshing to know it started with bills, tuition and taxes.

and now, its meme time...

This is gonna sound really base compared to how I usually am, and especially since I got to know you... but my thoughts at the time were, "Mmm... Cute chick in ripped fishnets and miniskirt. Yeah. I definitely could enjoy working here."

I didn't really know what 'goth' was but Scuba took me to this party/move for Narnia (..at least I think it was for her?)

You were this mysterious, black clad, girl with a slight accent. I totally remember just being enchanted by your eyes at the time. =)

You were driking stoli I think? hehe..
That night kind of opened up a whole new world to me. I remember asking around about you and finally contacting you, nervously, over ICQ hopeing to get to know you better. =D

heh... i was drinking some sort of vodka straight out of the bottle... both you and scuba were being rather quiet, but would take swigs from the bottle whenever i passed it.
throughout the whole 'all i want is a beer and a cigarette!' i kept thinking about how miserable you have been to be stuck with myself and the airheaded jailbait and was very surprised when you agreed to come out to breakfast with me.

my most vivid memory of 'meeting' you, though, is the next time we saw each other - you were waiting for me at park st., looking very nervous and inoocent (boy, was i in for a lesson! ; ) )

I think I dragged a chair up and kind of sat at the edge of where everyone else was sitting, and at some point you pulled up a seat and started talking to me but I don't remember what we talked about.

I remember showing up at the Roach house to check it out and deciding that you definitely seemed like someone I could live with... I remember writing you a check for the deposit that night and having to make you spell you last name for me multiple times... :-)

I think it was one of your household parties - via lachesis? Although perhaps before that at MR but those memories are always a blur of beautiful eyes and grins and untold stories and who remembers names these days anyway? =)

i first met you at wench33's wedding, but spent more time interacting with tyson (while sitting on lachesis' lap) then you...
and then i told her she should bring you two to my upcoming party : )

That's right! (It did seem to me that there was a time b4 the party but I just couldn't place it!) Now that I think about it, there might even be a picture from the wedding somewhere around here that had you in it. =)

to be honest, the thing that sticks out in my memory about the first time I met you was my crusade to actually get a beer at the chineese restaurant we all had holed ourselves up in. I had just had all the presents I bought for Christmas stolen on the train, and was in a bit of a foul mood. We didn't interact much but I remember asking Stacy about you after you left :)
