Sep. 25th, 2003 12:55 pmthe biggest news for today is that the braids are out.
after a yummy and intoxicating meal with
maighread and her SB,
sol3 and i went back to my house and i managed to convince him to go through the medieval torture of undoing myriad of braids.
it wasn't a fun process. it lasted till 3am. the most notable quote came from him -
me: ug! i found another! will it ever end?
him: well, i caught two of them fucking a while back, so they may be breeding.
i break out in giggles
him: what're you laughing at?! you think its easy to undo two entwined braids?!
he rocks : )
the aftereffects:
none of the research i did told me that the growing roots of my hair would dread. they're very fine, neat dreads. but they're dreads! i spent well over an hour in the shower, hair gooped up in conditioner, trying to make at least one separation in each one. i didn't succeed.
i had headaches my first couple of days with braids; now my scalp is getting waves of feeling burny - prolly because of my giving it a good scratching and then keeping conditioner on for an hour or more.
and, i miss the braids already!
oh, and little girl is the best cat ever.
there were two large piles of fake hair on the living room floor and a bunch of hair snippets on the coffee table. this morning, the cat was asleep on the couch, all bits of hair untouched.
i'm beyond sleepy today and no amount of tea is helping me.
its fucking freezing up here, and no amount of tea is helping me.
to add to that, being cold makes me sleepy - kicks off something like a hibernation instinct.
lunch should be interesting.
my car is getting some oil-changin' luvins, i need to pick up my new copy of mrs. dalloway and haggle with verizon to get my pre-break-in phone plan - it should be fun.
