the background is (obviously, i hope) dan (i find it amusing that i'd done the makeup, and then taken that shot). i made the rose from scratch - i don't remember the names of the filters i used, but i have several versions of the psd saved (if onyl they'd save the history files with them!). there's a bunch of blurring around the rose's edges, and then smudging. oh, and i used curved a lot, but i usually do...
