Mar. 8th, 2004 12:09 pmfirst off, who ordered this white stuff?
i know i clearly ordered spring!
i realized last week that i'm living from weekend to weekend these days, and that makes me gloss over a significant portion of my time - i need to work on changing that, but looking at the forecast (and knowing that i'm pms'ing), that just ain't going to happen this week.
and speaking of things going on this week, the people that are going to the dresden dolls show, how are you getting there? i am definitely interested in going, but i hate driving to lansdowne st. and i doubt i'll be up for T'ing there... which i guess means that i would go if some kind soul would drive me to and fro.
at some point last fall,
gaelen cleaned out the huge closet that had been mine 2 years ago, and a whole bunch of stuff ended up in the hallway leading up to my room.
i somehow suffered from the delusion that the stuff wasn't actually mine, but a conglomerate of random stuff that tends to accumulate in large storage spaces.
well, i was delusional.
there was some stuff that isn't mine, but the majority of it is mine, and needs better homes then the hallway.
the first step is going to be picking up some shoe racks - i can place those where the stuff is now, which makes for a more convenient place for my shoes and frees up at least one of my bed drawers.
the question is, will that be enough? getting shelves for the other side of my dresser would definitely help, but after one failed attempt, i've just about given up.
and of course, the obvious solution is to just get rid of all this stuff. most of it is a combination of shoes and clothes i haven't worn in years - but it should all still fit, and my brain can't seem to let go of but what if something happens and i need this stuff?
sol3 mentioned bringing the stuff to the garment district, but i can't find info on whether they buy used clothing on their website : /
also, one of the things in the pile is a black futon cover - if anyone has a use for it, i'll gladly part with it.
and yeah - a resumming of my weekend: not enough cleaning done, not enough reading done, good seeing people but a strong residue of my communication inabilities, good leftovers and a mellow evening last night.
i also went to the other side on newbury st. for the first time in well over a year and i can't believe how i have neglected the place! seeing their list of beers available by the pitcher (mmm... maudite...) made me crave summer evenings.

Date: 2004-03-08 09:46 am (UTC)i think it might be full sized, extra thick?
i've never used it as a futon cover - it used to hang in my prospect st. room, covering the doors between mine and a.'s room...
