Aug. 23rd, 2004 10:35 pmi've started maybe 4 or 5 entries in the past few days and then got too distracted to finish them.
my progress?
i was a good kid on Saturday and finished the social psych class. i finished the last session, redid my paper, went over my notes and did the final. then, i ran out to curses to get some congratulatory company.
on Sunday i was a huge timewaster and didn't even touch the stats. ugh. the only upside is that i got bm stuff about 10% organized.
today, i got home from work, watched one hour of tv, ate some pasta and dug into stats.
now, i'm a week late on last week's homework, and i only have the book portion of it complete. i also did the book portion of chapter 8 and am about to dig into chapter 9 after having another cup of tea.
after that, i need to do an spss assignment and go to bed, as it looks like i have a toofuckingearlyinthemorning meeting tomorrow.
after the meeting and after the rest of the day at work, i'm going to go up to my teacher and tell her that i fell behind because of work and the other class, that i have the book portion of the homeworks, that i plan to take time off work on Wednesday and that i am hoping to get the study guide assignments done then. hopefully, she won't kill my grade. hopefully, i'll do well on Thursday's tests, because i did do poorly on the last test - 81%.
oh, and i got my paper grade in, and i pretty much need an 89% on the final to get an A- on the test. that grade cannot come in soon enough.
other random bits:
i'm not pulled toward randomly eating if i'm just stressed. but i am if i'm stressed and busy because for some reason that level of nervous energy makes me feel hungry. and i wouldn't care if i hadn't gained too much weight over the past month of doing homework instead of going to yoga.
my pattern with email tends to be that either i answer it within a half hour of seeing it, or it takes weeks/months to answer. to counter this, i usually keep mail in my inbox if it needs attention, move answered emails and try to keep the overall size hovering around 20. now, it's at 60.
i did a bit more research on a diagnosis one of my mom's quack doctors gave me and think that maybe it's got some merit to it. so, among the list of things to procrastinate is going to a gastrointerologist as well as a general check in, an optometrist visit and taking the cat to the vet.
speaking of taking the cat to the vet - i realized what freaks me out about it. (some people have heard this already) i know how i would trick the cat into the car carrier to get her there. and i know that they would let her out. how would they get her back into the carrier??
i've rethought my skipants idea.
instead of attempting to make a skirt by undoing the crotch and possibly rendering them unrepairable, i'm going to try and get a bunch of gauze/mesh material and make a skirt-part over the pants-part, so that i'm not risking making the whole thing unusable. the trick will be to do it in a way that looks good and does not restrict leg movement - but overall, it sounds much less intimidating.
in a quick procrastination effort, i finally tried on the skipants, and the good news is that they fit. and, they seemed pretty warm : )
