there might be a lot of snippets posted here before i get to sit down and write a full update, if/when i do...

i should be heading off for a pre-work nap right now, saved and confused by my inability to authenticate on the work vpn.

i slept lightly all night, conscious of needing to be up super early to drive gaelen and fidgetmonster to the airport; in sleeping lightly i heard the pouring rain and was confused about what kind of a structure i was sleeping in that i could hear the elements but not feel them. like goat said, what are all these walls?

the lack of loud music and blinky lights is equally disturbing, and i'm displeased with MR for having a show tonight - a club atmosphere would've done me good.

making dinner made me giggle - before last week, 20 minutes of prep was about all i'd spend on a meal while now, the idea of chopping up a half an onion was downright funny.
i'm really hoping this shift in perspective will allow me to stick to my 'cooking at least once a week' plan.

oh, and i don't think i mentioned this yet - i got my grades, and they're an A and an A-. now, i need to spend some time thinking about what my options are for the semester that started this week.
