I've screened comments on this post, so if you comment on it, your comment won't be seen by other people. If you're one of the first 20 or so people to comment on this post and ask for it, I'll come up with a line or two about you and put it in a followup comment to yours. So, if I understand how screened comments work, I'll still wind up with a nameless list of person-comments, but everybody will know which comment is directed to *them*.

Once I get 20 or so people (if I do get 20 or so people), I'll edit this original post to let you all know that the offer's closed.

You're a great conversationalist - to the point of intimidating me. I am really glad for the intersection of social circles that has allowed me to interact with you, and I hope the melding continues.

It's hard to find the words to express how happy I am about your presence in my life. It has taken us a long time to get to the level of closeness we're at, and my hope is that there's a slow and steady process at work that isn't reaching its endpoint anytime soon.

I find it both ironic and appropriate that I really appreciate our comfortable silences and think you know me better then you let on.

In that light, this should be appropriate: more then anything else, I am full of hopeful anticipation of where the future will take us.

You enbody a number of the characteristics that make Burning Man such an amazing experience.

Of all the things I have figured out about you, I can't quite figure out how intentional it is on your part to make it very difficult for people to do so. Luckily, I enjoy a challenge.

I don't know you very well. I enjoy reading your posts - especially when I have time to really read them. I feel bad that the invitations you send me invariably conflict with something else and hope to see you at Halloween.

There's a spark there that I'm glad to be acting on; at the same time, I think I've been a bit awkward in the ways in which I've expressed my boundaries and I'm sorry about that. I'm glad that my awkwardness hasn't driven/scared you away, and I'm looking forward to whenever I see you next.

i'll just let you command me, baby, as you know you can

i can't stop myself from quoting that!

there was a time in my life when, when asked who my hero was, i gave your name. and it isn't that i think you're any less great now - it's that before, i saw the starting and ending places of the leaps and bounds you were making, and it left me in awe. now, you make leaps and bounds with endpoints that i just can't see - i just watch you leap, tighten inside from anticipation, and watch to be (pleasantly) surprised by where you land, barely able to comprehend the distance you cover in mid-air.
and i hate watching from so far away. i miss you so much, and can't wait until we solve the damn distance issue.

My answer now is probably what it would have been two years ago: I hope that one day you will be able to see how wonderful you really are.

You have a wonderful presence that I have been looking up to for years; I worry about you, because I know you prefer to show your strong side; I am looking forward to when you have good news to celebrate

Running into you is guaranteed to cheer me up, and I miss the days that happened more often.

Typically, icebergs are referred to in the negative, in discovering a part of a deep issue or encountering something of unknown and intimidating size. What I've seen of you makes me think of an iceberg, but one whose depth is filled with beauty and widsom. I hope to get to be shown more then the tip I've seen so far.
