the weekend was definitely a mixed bag.

Friday, i made the somewhat poor decision to yield to a sushi craving. the problem was that i had no dinner companion, and some confusion, miscommunication and lateness with [livejournal.com profile] sweetbaboo led to a meltdown from being hunger-nuts, and then to not starting on homework until it was way late.
there are two lessons to be learned from Friday night: one is that i shouldn't have hopes of dinner out unless i have prearranged plans and the second is that when i'm starting to go nutty, it is really okay to snack. what i end up doing is trying to think of full meals, not being able to think of an appealing option and spinning my wheels on that - while snacking gets enough food into me to keep of hunger pains, make me sane enough to be able to make decisions and maybe even get to a point where reasonable meal options start sounding appealing.

Friday night, instead of digging into psych homework, i ended up reading the light sociology reading - read until a bit past 1am, set the alarm for 10am and went to bed.
of course, i hit snooze for an hour on Saturday morning and it was close to noon by the time i finished morning putzing and breakfast.
after that, i did some homework reading, tidied up my room a bit, wrapped a present and got packed for the remainder of the weekend before heading off to [livejournal.com profile] sol3's.
there, we ended up spending a bunch of time talking about a project that there wasn't enough time for. this was less then stellar in that we both spent precious time on something that dead ended, but it was good because i like interacting with him like that.
oh, and i went to trader joes to get food and discovered that their meatless meatball and pasta bowl is actually really delicious, that they changes the recipe on their french onion soup and made it vegetarian and also picked up their spanish rice, which i ate Sunday and found to be quite edible.

at the time the party started, i was hungry and not very there. it took me about an hour to finally to decide to run out for fruit (food?) and eventually ate, started drinking and enjoyed the evening.

yesterday, i got up with an alarm again, had a super yummy and surprisingly extended brunch, came back to [livejournal.com profile] sol3's for some chilling and then digging into homework.
i didn't get enough homework done.
hopefully, i'm still afloat, but i'm nowhere near feeling good about it. the next two days are going to be rough, especially because we don't have a microwave at the moment.
