i realized yesterday that it's been around/at least two months since i've gone to the movies.

[livejournal.com profile] sol3 and i started watching the first season of the sopranos. when i first saw the show a couple of years ago, it was eerily reminiscent of my father and his family. with time, that faded. watching the first season, i'm totally reminded of my father again, which makes me wonder whether/how tony soprano's character was changed a year+ ago.

i've been more nutrition-conscious lately. it hasn't really affected how/what i eat, i'm just reading more labels. reading the label on fresh mozzarella is downright frightening.
i've found that the trader joe's by my house does not carry the yummy meatless meatball pasta bowls, but do have tasty bites. i had my first tasty bite experience last night - while i don't see them replacing pasta roni on my shelves, i'm definitely picking up a few more.

and i keep swinging between wanting it to be November already and wishing there'd be an extra week before that happens.

speaking of November, i'm harboring the delusion that once we start heating the house, i'll do yoga at home a couple of times a week. even i'm finding this amusing.
that said, i am feeling more muscles in my body then i think i've ever had, and when i looked at a scale this morning, it showed me weighing less then i did when i started feeling ooky about my shape. the cynic in me, though, conjectures that if someone who doesn't have any significant muscle mass exercises and builds some, and then slacks on the exercising, their width-gain will be larger then if they never grew the muscles in the first place.
