Nov. 15th, 2004 01:52 pmas has been the case for me lately, this weekend was underproductive. i'm not sure what it is anymore, but i just can't seem to get my ass in gear these days.
Friday night was supermellow time with
sol3 - we talked, walked in the snow to get subs, looked at dvd's and ended up watching 3 episodes of sopranos before going to bed.
he left early the next morning, and i was up by 10am and still managed to not make it to the noon yoga class. c'est la vie.
i came home, ate a banana and tried to dig into the schoolwork. it took me nearly all day to read just 20 pages of bookreading, 5 pages of lecture & write out an assignment. i did cook dinner and watch a time to kill as well, but it still took me much longer then it should have. the good news is, though, that i plowed through enough of this class in early october that the work i have left isn't overwhelming - a 3 page paper to do this week, and then 4 more session/assignments - and i'm totally not worried about the test.
the other good news is that the group paper grade from the psych class came in - and it's a 95 : ) this takes a big weight off my shoulders for the work I'll be doing in the spring, as it is much easier to maintain a good grade then to pull up a lower one. also, the only edits the professor made to my section were gramatical, and there were fewer of them overall. w00t!
eventually, i made it out to
scuba's gathering, and from there went to spend time with
pir.
sunday, i woke up hours later then intended to, didn't end up having breakfast until 5pm, and spent more of the evening procrastinating workwork then actually doing it. i got enough done to know that once the really broken bits are working, it'll work, but i'm not quite sure how to fix the really broken bits yet.
today, i'm fairly awake but totally not focussed.
i'm wishing my finances were in a different state then they are - i think that getting contacts could possibly be a partial solution to the focus issue, because not being able to focus well visually is definately a part of this, but i just don't have the $$ for that right now.
i'm also leaning towards going to yoga tonight, and maybe to the club afterwards - if studying wasn't working for me all weekend, doesn't that mean i should take a break?
