good news: i got enough homework done that i may not bring my textbook to austin.
bad news: i did a half-assed job at it, which isn't ideal when the professor is also grading my half-assed paper.

i think i really need the break i'm getting this week; being here is driving me a bit batty these days and i can't pinpoint why, although it being caused by the SAD isn't ruled out.

i've had some really surreal dreams over the past few nights. i remember a conversation with jedi and how shocked he was that my dreams were set in 'reality' - well, the realiity my dreams are set in has been rather warped these days. last night, i was having an actual conversation with my grandmother's parakeet, who for some reason was flying alongside us on some journey, and then somehow one of his eggs (yes, i know) got boiled, and i'm still talking to him while shelling and cutting a boiled egg that used to be his kid-to-be. and actually, a few nights ago, there was a kitten in my dream that was the child of little girl and squish - what is it with pets breeding (in impossible ways, even) in my dreams?

generally, i'm feeling crappy right now and can only hope this is a mood that passes soon.
