Jan. 13th, 2005 06:56 pmthis week has been flying by, which is mostly good.
on Monday night, i had dinner with r.; it was our first time seeing each other since the early fall and it was nice to catch up.
after dinner, i had meant to finish ham on rye, but instead spent time researching some bc options and watching the tube until bedtime.
Tuesday night was a bigger failure. i meant to start digging into psych work, and didn't even open the book. i watched some tv, i did the dishes, i picked up my room a bit and finally got some phone-time in with
kittypie - that's definitely been overdue.
last night was mostly just what i'd been expecting - yoga, and then carnivale at home. the differences were that yoga was pleasantly more difficult then it had been for the past couple of weeks, and
sol3 was sick, which dampened the evening a little. i liked the opening episode of carnivale, but was shocked at how much of season 1 i had forgotten. i may or may not fix that.
there's enough fun plans from this point forward that i'm trucking along, but i'm totally behind in everything. i'm swamped at work, i haven't touched the psych stuff, i need to get my ass in gear and register for the spring work-class, need to deal with all my parking tickets, aaa renewal, etc, and schedule checkup appointments. and i can't seem to focus enough to get it all done.
i think of the things i liked best about the hostel i stayed in in prague was the meditation room - a quiet, empty room at the side of the common areas. i'd pop in there and do stretches whenever i felt like i needed them. working in a cube farm, i'd love to be able to stretch a bit every once in a while, but there's no out-of-sight place to do that.
