Mar. 8th, 2005 09:49 amthere's a whole category of memories in my head that can be grouped together under 'sunny days'.
in there, there are childhood mornings and waking up to sunlight streaming into the room, the sound of birds chirping outside and the smell of potatoes my grandmother was cooking. mornings at the summerhouse, where the view out the window is overlaid with the memory of waking up, as if i jumped up to look outside as soon as my eyes opened. there's a memory of the current apartment, during the first couple of weeks there, the living room lit up be light from the bay windows, totally uncluttered with my (old, old) futon being one of the few pieces of furniture and a vase of flowers in the corner.
somehow, the 8th of march seems like it should be one of those sunny days.
thank you to
nymphochka for reminding me, and no thanks to new england weather, which is currently grey and rainy, with a 20 degree temperature drop and snow on the way.
