on Friday night, [livejournal.com profile] sol3 and i stayed in for dinner and wandered out for dessert and up and down. i think tosci's is going to be the death of me this year - the only upside is that i'm such a fan of their wacky flavors that i'm no longer tempted by ice cream shops that only have the standard set. we also planned to drive to tosci's and then the theater because we were running late and were afraid it would rain, but ended up leaving the car by main st. and walking to and from the kendall from there - luckily for us, it rained while we were in the theater.
when picking a movie, it was between that and walk on water and i decided to go with up and down because i thought a more lighthearted movie would sit better with me. and we probably made the right choice - just that neither movie was very lighthearted.

on Saturday, i missed the noon yoga class because i was running late and there was no parking, so i went to brighton to run some errands and then made it back to somerville for the 1:30 class. i wasn't thrilled with the class, but am starting to realize that some of it is due to the fact that the couple of extra inches i've added are changing the way i move.
after that, i came home, got some cleaning done, ate a two-course healthy meal and got ready for the party.

Sunday started out as a very lazy day, but eventually [livejournal.com profile] sol3 and i made it to central, went out walking to play at a playground and take some pictures, ate a good meal and headed off to the fluttr/dresden dolls show. and i think it says something about how good a concert is if i manage to spend three and a half hours standing - by the end, my back was totally killing me (i can't stand for long periods of time at all).

in the 'i'm sure this happens in other families, too, but goddamn...' files: my parents had a fight that was triggered by a decision of debbie's that my stepfather approved of. my mom threatened to leave, and apparently my stepdad took her seriously enough to let debbie know what happened - and when my mom got home that night, poor debbie was in tears and frantically cleaning the house. ugh.
