Apr. 26th, 2005 04:09 pmtoday is sitting somewhat oddly with me - i'm having a hard time focussing and am mildly anxious, which has lead to a lot of spinning my wheels *wrinkles nose*
last night was silks practice and i got my very first injury - a sprained (and hopefully not broken) toe - last i checked, it was a neat shade of purple, and it's been mildly aching in the boot all day, up until i forget it's injured, try to walk normally and recoil in pain. foo.
one interesting this is that after hurting my toe, i tried climbing up and doing footwraps a couple of time, and it felt weird an awkward. at the time, i thought it was just from dealing with the pain that using my hurt-toe foot at all - and it wasn't until after dinner and getting home that i realized that the hurt toe is on my left (dominant) foot, and after the injury, i was climbing on and wrapping my right foot - which i've only done once or twice before.
tonight is my last Tuesday night class - and i'm really excited to have the extra weeknight back! i'm also excited about coming home tonight and going to bed early - i've stayed up late the last couple of nights, got up extra early yesterday and was so sleepy this morning that i couldn't see straight until after my second cup of tea.
the ability of my vision to split is definitely very new to me. in the same way that i was lacking some 3d before, i was also not seeing enough out of my left eye to ever have double vision. i'm not sure i like this newfangled ability.
