this is reminder to myself to sometimes not feel like the biggest wuss when i hurt myself, because just because my toe didn't look this bad last night doesn't mean it wasn't hurting that much

and i'm really curious about whether it's sprained or broken, as i've never broken a bone before, but not enough to take time off work to have it x-rayed.

on the upside, i should be posting cute pictures of [livejournal.com profile] sol3 tomorrow.

typically, there's not too much a doctor can do for a broken toe, anyway. : /

feel better!

3 things that will help it heal, unless its a severe break (and if its swollen and bruised that means its probably broken) - ice, rest, and elevation. try not to use it at all...
if it hurts a LOT go to the dr, it might be severe enough for surgery.
hope you get well soon, hun

Oh! I hope your foot heals soon! Isn't there a free clinic on wheels around?

There was a free clinic that appeared in Harvard Square and in Park Street Square, by the subway. I am not sure it's still about.

even if it's broken, they likely wouldn't do much for it. hope it heals quick =)

Ow. In general, there isn't anything beyond "splint it, keep off it, and wait" that a doctor can do for a broken toe. That said, if you get any
excessive swelling, or numbness, then get thee to a doctor and have it looked at professionally. Your toe is more important than whatever task you are currently doing at work. Hope you heal quickly!
