May. 17th, 2005 10:23 pmi wrote an entry about my weekend that got lost because of a random reboot - for now, i'll just say that it was pretty great - really enjoyed the dali exhibit, the eastern state penitentiary museum and the rodin museum, got to give
sol3 a little surprise and generally enjoyed both being away and how warm the weather ended up being. because i'm terribly biased about routes and
sol3 is a saint, i also got to drop in on my family for a little bit, which was great.
yesterday, i went to silks practice and got a little further with what i'm trying to do then last week, and felt much less beat afterwards, which is hopefully a good sign. i just really need to find time to exercise a bit every day.
it turns out that one doesn't need to go to ceremony to have their car broken into on a Monday night - some moron smashed in my passenger side window, rifled through everything in my glove compartment and the center console (there was nothing of value in either), ripped off the face plate to the stereo, broke off the framing around it and took it with them (or dumped it somewhere just out of sight). now i have to figure out what my options could be to have music in the car again.
today, i worked from home and waited for the glass people to give me a new window. while i had a great experience with that the other time my car was broken into, today's guy was creepy and did a bad job getting glass out of my car. although motivation to get it detailed might not be all bad.
it's a good thing i was home, too, because for about half the day, i had the worst headache i've ever had. i don't usually get headaches often, especially not ones that aren't cured by either liquid or caffeine, so i'm sure the headache itself was exceedingly mild to what some people get, but it definitely slowed me down a bit.
i think i still watched way too much tv between work and starting to study, but i did start, and i finished the session i was on, and did a writeup for the previous one, and am now contemplating how to handle the next couple of hours. on the one hand, i feel like i should start the next session, but because i know i won't make too much headway before it is bedtime, the motivation to do that is totally faltering. i could also do some pleasure reading, or just go to sleep way early, or indulge my week-long craving for popcorn. hrmph.

Date: 2005-05-18 03:11 am (UTC)after what happened last time, i actually see it as just a minor annoyance. i'll be sad if the stereo can't be used ever again, but my older one is at my parents' house, so i know i won't be stranded without music completely - and hey, i still have my wallet, my cellphone and the laptop!
